Fall Spectacular 5K 
 

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

since 2001 the Community Parks Project has initiated and overseen

the following projects

 none of this would have been realized without

your 5k registrations and/or sponsorship

Ø      the planning and renovation of our town’s three playgrounds

Ø      the donation of $17,500 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina relief

Ø      the initiation and planning of the jogging path at Highland Field

Ø      securing grants from corporations

Ø      providing matching funds in order to secure open space grants from the state of NJ

Ø      we are regularly approached by other groups seeking support for their projects

Ø      the planning and purchase of a fitness circuit to be installed around the fields at Harrington Park School

Ø      the purchase of 12 recycle containers placed in all town parks

Ø      the planning and oversight of construction of the bandshell to be installed at Highland field
